Ashley Vale - national model for community build

Our self build project here at Ashley Vale has received a lot of press and national attention over the years. The focus on our project is increasing as the Housing Minister, Grant Shapps, has pledged to double the size of the self build sector. AVAG director, Jackson Moulding, has been working closely with the minister over the last 12 months as the new policy, and measures to support the policy, are put in place. Jackson is joined Grant Shapps and others including Grand Design's Kevin McCloud on a governemnt delegation to Holland in May this year to visit the Almere project for further insight and inspiration.

We remain very proud of what we have achieved here since out project began in 2001 and by the success of our community and we look forward to witnessing a massive increase in similiar projects.
